6 safari operators together to help maths students

July 24, 2017

Through Project Luangwa and Charity Begins at Home, six of the most caring safari operators based in the Luangwa Valley (Bushcamp Company, Flatdogs Camp, Kafunta River Lodge, Shenton Safaris, Robin Pope Safaris and Croc Valley) have committed to funding innovative extracurricular maths lessons to 1200 kids in the Luangwa Valley.  With the use of mobile coaches, tablets and the renowned Kahn institute teaching methods, these lodges have taken on the challenge of improving numeracy in this remote corner of Zambia.

Although all these kids are in school (many of them already sponsored by tourists and being taught in buildings funded by tourism), the level of numeracy they currently achieve is often well below the level which they need to meet their potential.  Edulution is a program designed to meet these deficits and give kids a step up in life.  Please view this flyer for more info on this outstanding project!
